This is a real leather sword baldric based on examples pictured in Equipements Militaires by Michel Petard. There is also an example of this baldric (albeit a more decorative version) in a 1650s painting entitled
Presentation of the Medallion by Caspar Netscher.
It features a large brass spectacle type buckle and two smaller buckles to hold the sword. The leather is hand dyed to your required colour.
It is suitable for re-enactment, theatre or LARP costumes.
Pistol bucket type holsters (like those shown in the holsters section) can be added to this baldric.
