This is a real leather sword baldric based on examples pictured in Equipements Militaires by Michel Petard. There is also an example of this baldric in a 1660s painting
by Adam Frans van der Meulen.
It features a large brass spectacle type buckle and two leather loops to hold the sword. The front strap gets wider towards the bottom so that it protects the clothing of the person wearing it from the sword hilt rubbing against them. The leather is hand dyed to your required colour.
It is suitable for re-enactment, theatre or LARP costumes.
Pistol bucket type holsters (like those shown in the holsters section) can be added to this baldric.
