Giberne style cartridge box

Starting at: £50.00

This is a replica of the cartouche or cartridge box worn by early 18th century European armies. It is made from Leather and stitched together using waxed linen thread with the straps riveted with period copper rivets.

This version is fully customisable and can be worn on a waist belt or over the shoulder with the removable strap. You can choose to add either a bayonet or an axe frog onto the strap. The flap comes in 3 different styles too.

You can also choose to have the front of the box plain or you can have either one or two pockets on it for keeping flints in etc.

There are a few options for the inside of the box too. You can leave it with no insert or you can choose from a 24 hole wooden cartridge block, a 6 hole wooden cartridge box with tool trays either side or just one large wooden tray. Great for filling up with paper cartridges for living history events or just for stashing wallets, mobile phones, bars of chocolate or anything else that needs to be kept out of view of the general public. Without any insert it will hold up to 3 of our replica grenadoe’s.

You also have a choice of metal badges that can be attached to the flap. You can choose to have a small or large grenadier’s symbol, an anchor, a small or large Fleur-de-lis symbol.

If you have a particular design you are interested in getting embossed into the flap then please contact us and we will quote you on this too. We can also cover the flap and/or straps in material if this is something that you need (contact us for a quote).

The box itself is 3 inches wide, 6 inches long and 5 inches high.
