This is a repica of a 1699 act of parliament issued in William III's reign entitled "An ACT for the more effectual Suppression of Piracy "

This act gave greater powers to governors and people in power to prosecute pirate and their partners in crime. It also contained punishments for merchant captains who left crew members behind on voyages.

It is 24 pages printed on laid paper and is bound using waxed linen thread.
