Replica American Letter of Marque


This is a fully customisable replica of a 1776 Letter of Marque originally issued by John Hancock against the British.

These Letters of Marque were issued to captains of ships during the American revolution authorising them to attack and pillage ships of the British Empire.

Also included is a replica of a set of instructions for Privateers that held a Letter of Marque that was issued by the American Congress in 1781.

They are roughly 13" x 8", the same as the originals and is printed on period correct laid paper.

The document can be customised with your name (captain), the owners name, the name and type of your ship, the number of guns and weight of the shop and the home port.

Any option fields not filled in will be left with the information from the original document.
